Just early this year, I started investing in the Philippine Stock Market. You can earn in two ways, either by earning Stock Dividends or through Stock Appreciation. I have already earned little in both ways since my investment is still not that big and I am still learning everyday while I monitor the Stock Market. I use online Stockbroker CitisecOnline for my transactions.

Top 3 reasons why I want to attend the Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards 2011:
1. I have not attended a Blog Awards – Even though I have been blogging since 2004, I have not attended any Local or International Blog Awards. And it would be a great honor if my first Blog Awards event will be the Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards.
2. I like to Travel and meet new people – I love travelling, being in new places and meeting new people. I have not been in Malaysia and I am sure I will meet lots of new people there.
3. I want to share my experience with others – Being a blogger and photographer, I will be able to share my experiences and learnings from my trip to my fellow Filipinos.

I read this part of the book when for the first time, I lost my mobile phone. I was not really concerned about the phone but the pictures of my wife and kids which I have not backed up but this chapter is about Acceptance. Maybe the one who got the phone really needed money at that moment. And of course, when you lose something bigger before (my car), losing a mobile phone is almost nothing.
Put the Law of Least Effort into effect by making a commitment to take the following steps:
(1) I will practice Acceptance. Today I will accept people, situations, circumstances, and events as they occur. I will know that this moment is as it should be, because the whole universe is as it should be. I will not struggle against the whole universe by struggling against this moment. My acceptance is total and complete. I accept things as they are this moment, not as I wish they were.
(2) Having accepted things as they are, I will take Responsibility for my situation and for all those events I see as problems. I know that taking responsibility means not blaming anyone or anything for my situation (and this includes myself). I also know that every problem is an opportunity in disguise, and this alertness to opportunities allows me to take this moment and transform it into a greater benefit.
(3) Today my awareness will remain established in Defenselessness. I will relinquish the need to defend my point of view. I will feel no need to convince or persuade others to accept my point of view. I will remain open to all points of view and not be rigidly attached to any one of them.

Put the Law of Karma into effect by making a commitment to take the following steps:
(1) Today I will witness the choices I make in each moment. And in the mere witnessing of these choices, I will bring them to my conscious awareness. I will know that the best way to prepare for any moment in the future is to be fully conscious in the present.
(2) Whenever I make a choice, I will ask myself two questions: “What are the consequences of this choice that I’m making?” and “Will this choice bring fulfillment and happiness to me and also to those who are affected by this choice?”
(3) I will then ask my heart for guidance and be guided by its message of comfort or discomfort. If the choice feels comfortable, I will plunge ahead with abandon. If the choice feels uncomfortable, I will pause and see the consequences of my action with my inner vision. This guidance will enable me to make spontaneously correct choices for myself and for all those around me.

Today, We ask You to bless us so that We may become a blessing.
Lord, We commit ourselves to enrich others.
But because We cannot give what We do not have,
We commit ourselves to become rich, wise and loving persons.
We commit ourselves to serve You and everyone in need with our wealth, wisdom and love.
Today, we open ourselves to the abundance of Your universe.
Use us as a channel of your love.
Give us the ability to create wealth, wisdom and love that will bless the world.
Increase our financial wisdom, open our hearts and minds more and expand our territories.
We place our lives in your hands, Amen.

Ran/Jogged/Walked 16.8 kilometers today at the Adidas King of the Road 2011. For the past few days I thought I could not finish the race since my training consists of only 1-2 rounds in the Academic Oval in UP for the past 2 weeks. But I am happy that I finished 16.8 kilometers on just almost 4 hours of sleep last night. Congratulations also to my wife, Tin who ran her first 5k race.
But the highlight of the race was not on the race day itself but on running/walking with my wife and 2 kids (ages 2 and 4) in UP almost every other day. Mika will join her 1st run next month on the McHappy Day Family Fun Run 2011 where she will participate in the 1k run for kids.
For Tin and I, our next race might be 10k in the SMDC Quezon City International Marathon 2011 on December 4.

Put the Law of Giving into effect by making a commitment to take the following steps:
(1) Wherever I go, and whoever I encounter, I will bring them a gift. The gift may be a compliment, a flower, or a prayer. Today, I will give something to everyone I come into contact with, and so I will begin the process of circulating joy, wealth and affluence in my life and in the lives of others.
(2) Today I will gratefully receive all the gifts that life has to offer me. I will receive the gifts of nature: sunlight and the sound of birds singing, or spring showers or the first snow of winter. I will also be open to receiving from others whether it be in the form of a material gift, money, a compliment, or a prayer.
(3) I will make a commitment to keep wealth circulating in my life by giving and receiving life’s most precious gifts: the gifts of caring, affection, appreciation, and love. Each time I meet someone, I will silently wish them happiness, joy, and laughter.
I have always known myself as a giver, but sometimes I forget about this. And giving is not just about money, you can give a compliment or a prayer to friends, acquaintances and even your enemies.
Right now, I am giving a lot of time to my family specially to my 2 kids, because I know that they will soon grow bigger and I know when they grow up they will appreciate that I have spent lots of time with them when they were kids.

I already read this book a long time ago but re-reading it again is somehow different. Maybe this is because of my new experiences in life or maybe I just did not understand it the first time I read it. But this book is really a big blessing, everyone should read this and follow the instructions at the end of each chapter, which I will post in this blog.
Put the Law of Pure Potentiality into effect by making a commitment to take the following steps:
(1) I will get in touch with the field of pure potentiality of taking time each day to be silent, to just Be. I will also sit alone in silent meditation at least twice a day for approximately thirty minutes in the morning and thirty minutes in the evening.
(2) I will take time each day to commune with nature and to silently witness the intelligence within every living thing. I will sit silently and watch a sunset, or listen to the sound of the ocean or a stream, or simply smell the scent of a flower. In the ecstasy of my own silence, and by communing with nature, I will enjoy the life throb of ages, the field of pure potentiality and unbounded creativity.
(3) I will practice non-judgment. I will begin my day with the statement, “Today, I shall judge nothing that occurs,” and throughout the day I will remind myself not to judge.
