I have been supporting 2 basketball teams for more than 15 years (tanda ko na), the Derby Ace Llamados (formerly called Purefoods TJ Giants) and the UP Fighting Maroons. I created a blog each for these teams http://www.purefoodsbasketball.com and http://www.maroonsbasketball.com to show my support and have been shooting the UP Fighting Maroons for the past 2 years and for this year i’ll be shooting PBA games for the Derby Ace Llamados.
Both Derby Ace and Maroons won their games today, the Derby Ace Llamados won over Barako Coffee Masters in the 2010 PBA Fiesta Conference and the UP Fighting Maroons defeated La Salle in the 2010 FilOil Flying V Preseason Tournament.

I think Mark Jomalesa is not from UPIS, I was in the training team during Paolo Mendoza’s time and on the bench most of the time the year after, hehe:)

Hello, Mr. Glenn Michael Tan. Anong batch ka ng UPIS? Halos kasabayan mo ba sina Ruarri Roco (UPIS Class 1992). Ako UPIS Batch 1981.
Glad to know another basketball geek from the old high school.
Do you feel bad that the old UPIS campus will be torn down to pave the way for some Ayala Land project?
Not so in my case, because from what I understand only the buildings will go and UPIS will be relocated where the Narra dorm now stands.
So UPIS will remain alive, only the buildings will go.
Too bad, the high school team remains winless, although as late as 2007 it was good enough to be in the Final Four.
